EDUC 101 — Foundations of Education(3 cr.)

Introduces the historical, philosophical, and social foundations of American education. Students examine the purposes of schooling and current debates in education policy. The course includes an early field observation in a partner school.

EDUC 205 — Educational Psychology(3 cr.)

Examines theories of learning, motivation, and development as applied to classroom teaching. Students analyze case studies of student learning and behavior. The course prepares students to design developmentally appropriate instruction.

EDUC 210 — Child and Adolescent Development(3 cr.)

EDUC 310 — Curriculum and Instruction(3 cr.)

EDUC 330 — Classroom Assessment(3 cr.)

EDUC 495 — Student Teaching Practicum(4 cr.)
