KINE 101 — Foundations of Kinesiology(3 cr.)

Introduces the scientific study of human movement and the professional fields within kinesiology. Surveys career pathways in fitness, rehabilitation, and sport.

KINE 110 — Fitness and Wellness Concepts(2 cr.)

Introduces principles of physical fitness, including cardiovascular health, strength training, and flexibility. Includes practical assessment of personal fitness levels.

KINE 210 — Human Anatomy for Kinesiology(4 cr.)

Covers the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems as they relate to human movement. Weekly laboratory sessions emphasize palpation and functional anatomy.

Applies principles of mechanics to the analysis of human movement in sport and daily activity. Students use video analysis to evaluate movement technique.

KINE 340 — Nutrition for Human Performance(3 cr.)

Examines the role of nutrition in supporting athletic training, recovery, and performance. Students design nutrition plans for a range of athletic populations.

KINE 360 — Exercise Testing and Prescription(3 cr.)

Trains students in the administration of fitness assessments and the design of individualized exercise programs. Includes practical experience conducting client assessments.
