ANTH 101 — Introduction to Cultural Anthropology(3 cr.)

Surveys the concepts and methods anthropologists use to study human cultures around the world. Topics include kinship, religion, economic systems, and social organization. Ethnographic case studies illustrate the diversity of human ways of life.

ANTH 102 — Introduction to Biological Anthropology(3 cr.)

Introduces the biological and evolutionary basis of human diversity, including primatology, human evolution, and genetics. Students examine fossil and genetic evidence for human origins. Laboratory exercises provide hands-on experience with skeletal and primate comparative material.

ANTH 150 — Introduction to Archaeology(3 cr.)

ANTH 250 — Human Osteology(4 cr.)

ANTH 310 — Medical Anthropology(3 cr.)

ANTH 330 — Archaeological Field Methods(4 cr.)

Provides supervised, hands-on training in archaeological survey, excavation, and artifact recovery. Students participate in an active field project and learn to maintain excavation records and chain of custody for finds. Laboratory sessions cover artifact processing and cataloging.

ANTH 360 — Anthropology of Religion(3 cr.)
