Department of Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology explores human diversity across time and place through the four-field lenses of culture, biology, archaeology, and language. Students conduct original ethnographic and archaeological research alongside faculty, often through community-based fieldwork and regional excavations. The major prepares graduates for careers in museums, cultural resource management, public health, and international development.
