Department of Criminal Justice

College of Arts & Sciences

Criminal Justice at Southgate combines the study of law, policing, courts, and corrections with attention to the social causes and consequences of crime. Students benefit from internship placements with regional law enforcement, courts, and advocacy organizations. The program prepares graduates for careers in law enforcement, law school, social services, and public policy.

Course descriptions for all CRIM offerings are in the university catalog; scheduled sections for each term are published in SU‑SIS. This department has 14 class sections scheduled for Fall 2026.
