Admissions
Southgate University welcomes applicants who are curious, engaged, and ready to contribute to a close-knit academic community. With roughly 9,400 students across five colleges, Southgate offers the resources of a larger university alongside the personal attention of a small campus, where undergraduate class sizes average 19 students.
Our admissions process considers the whole student: academic preparation, personal essays, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated engagement in and out of the classroom. We admit students on a rolling basis for fall and spring terms and encourage prospective students to visit campus along the Cascade River to see Southgate firsthand.
How to Apply
- Submit the Common Application or Southgate's own application, along with the $50 application fee or a fee waiver
- Request official high school transcripts and, if applicable, college transcripts
- Submit at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor
- Complete the optional but encouraged admissions interview, in person or virtually
