Department of English

The Department of English offers a rigorous grounding in literary history, critical theory, and the craft of writing across genres. Students pursue a B.A. in English with tracks in Literature or Creative Writing, and many pair the major with pre-law or education certification. Faculty scholarship spans medieval to contemporary periods, and small seminar sizes allow close mentorship at every level.
