Department of Biology

The Department of Biology offers a broad foundation in molecular, organismal, and ecological biology supported by modern teaching and research laboratories. Undergraduates are encouraged to pursue independent research beginning as early as sophomore year, and many co-author publications with faculty mentors. The department's pre-health advising and combined BS/MS track are particular strengths for students headed to medical, dental, or graduate school.
