Department of Classical Studies
Classical Studies introduces students to the languages, literatures, and civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome and their enduring influence on the modern world. Courses are taught in translation and welcome students from every discipline, from mythology and drama to political thought. The program is a favored complement to majors in history, philosophy, art history, and political science.
