Department of German

The German program builds language proficiency alongside a deep engagement with German-speaking literature, history, and culture. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention across the four-year sequence, and students are encouraged to pursue semester or summer study in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. The program supports both the German major and minor.
