Department of Latin

The Latin program introduces students to the language and literature of ancient Rome, building translation skill alongside an understanding of Roman history and culture. Courses progress from foundational grammar to the reading of unadapted classical texts. The program supports students pursuing classics, history, and pre-professional tracks that value close textual analysis.
